Treatable conditions

Acupuncture is an effective treatment for many conditions. Here are some examples;

low energy • fertility issues • headaches & migraines • back, neck, knee and elbow pain • sports injuries • insomnia • anxiety & stress • depression • chronic pain • menstrual issues • premenstrual tension •

Acupuncture therapy can release blocked qi (pronounced "chee") in the body and stimulate function, evoking the body’s natural healing response.

Why have acupuncture

Many people come to acupuncture for help with specific symptoms or to relieve specific pains. Some choose acupuncture because they feel generally unwell but have no obvious diagnosis, others come simply to enhance their feeling of well-being. Because traditional acupuncture aims to treat the whole person rather than specific symptoms in isolation, it can be effective for a range of conditions. It can be used effectively alongside conventional medicine. However if you have been prescribed medication it is advisable to tell your GP that you are planning to have acupuncture.
