Sharon’s background is in modern medicine where she has over 20 years of experience within the NHS, rising to become a senior nursing sister within a busy London Intensive care unit.
Sharon studied at the London College of Traditional Acupuncture, College of Chinese Medicine and the University of East London where she qualified with first class honours in a BSc (Hons) degree in Acupuncture. She has also completed specialist courses in Cosmetic facial acupuncture and Auricular (ear) acupuncture.
As a member of the British Acupuncture Council (MBAcC), Sharon Dowling adheres to strict codes of hygiene and ethics, and has full professional indemnity insurance. The British Acupuncture Council (BAcC) is the leading self-regulatory body for the practice of traditional acupuncture in the UK.
